Many insurance policies have clauses limiting the insurance company's liability in case of a claim due to the failure of a non-UL-listed device. The NEC (National Electric Code) requires writing components such as the powered spines found in our cubicle pods to be UL-listed before an inspector approves the building and occupancy permits can be issued.
